Interplast Australia & New Zealand is a project actively supported by Rotarians in Clubs and Districts throughout Australia and New Zealand. Rotarians are equal members of the Company, have equal representation on the Board of Directors and constitute the Rotarian Committee, which advises the Executive and Board of Interplast on matters of Rotary principles. Since 1983, Rotarians have raised over $5 million dollars to fund Interplast volunteer surgical teams.
Over 60 Rotarians have accompanied teams as observers and have returned to their Districts to act as ambassadors of Interplast by speaking about their experiences.
INTERPLAST SPEAKERS
If you would like an Interplast speaker for your Club or event, please contact either your Interplast District Chair or the Interplast office on 03 9249 1231 or by email at interplast@surgeons.org. Interplast speakers have been on an Interplast program either as a surgeon, anaesthetist, nurse, or Rotarian observer and can speak from first-hand experience of the life-changing work carried out by Interplast volunteers.
